SHARE-A-POT: SOUP FOR VULNERABLE SENIORS

We had a successful pilot collaboration with Khoo Teck Puat Hospital on the above project. A total of 46 senior parishioners participated with an average attendance of 27 participants per week.

SHARE-A-POT is a community-based project to improve nutrition of community-dwelling seniors. It is founded on the principles of good nutrition, working hand-in-hand with physical activity in a social environment to “build bones, brawn (muscle) and brain (cognitive reserve).” Vulnerable seniors are invited and encouraged to drink soup, exercise and socialize with other seniors.

Due to the encouraging and positive response from our parishioners who participated and with their agreement, we have decided to continue with this weekly programme details of which are as follows:

Days: Tuesdays

Time: 11.30am to 1.00pm

Venue: Church Canteen

ALL SENIORS ARE WELCOME.
