Lectors Ministry
Mission:
Lectors serve God and the Church by proclaiming the Word at Mass, living out the Gospel and contemplating Scripture.
Brief Description:
- Proclaim the liturgy of the word at weekday Masses and weekend Masses
- Lectors will be rostered for a weekend mass at least once a month
- Lectors will prepare for the assigned reading by breaking the word at least one week before the before the assigned date.Lectors who are not able to attend the meeting and prepare will need to reschedule their assigned reading
- To prepare the Intercessory Prayers for the week
Meeting:
Breaking of the Word for those reading on either Wednesday or Thursday at 7.30pm
